          Juche Idea gives a genuinely revolutionary world outlook of our time. This constitutes a major historic contribution made by the Juche idea to the development of humanity’s thinking and to the cause of liberation of mankind. The Juche idea defined man as the master who dominates the world, not merely as part of it, and thus established a new world outlook which, unlike preceding ones, regards the world and its changes and progress with man, its master, at the centre. The Juche viewpoint and stand on the world with man in the central place provide a sure guarantee for the independent and creative cognitional activities and practice of man who transforms the world and shapes his destiny. The Juche idea has been brilliantly applied, above all, to the Korean revolution and has won a great victory. Indeed, the Juche idea is an immortal banner of struggle, a banner of victory, for the popular masses in their endeavor to create a new world and shape their own destiny. <\/o:p><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

          The Songun politics idea was first adopted and implemented by Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL in January 1995. Its major doctrine is to treat military power and national defense as the top priority of the country or simply, everything else should give way to military affairs. The Songun politics is a product of the Cold War, and a way of leadership the DPRK was forced to adopt against the severe international climate after the Cold War, the stagnated domestic economy, and the growing pressure from abroad. In the face of the country’s practical conditions in the aftermath of the Cold War in northeast Asia, the DPR of Korea had to maintain a wartime perception of national security, and keep strengthening its national defense, which has since been institutionalized as a national strategy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

          Deeply studying the above facts, peace loving and progressive journalists of Nepal have established “NJA for Studying Juche Idea & Songun Policy” on the occasion of “Sun’s Day”, April 15, the Birth Anniversary of President KIM IL SUNG on 15th<\/sup> April 2010 in Kathmandu to disceminate in mass-public the Juche Idea and Songun Policy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          We are widely performing its activities to disceminate the Juche Idea and Songun Policy among the intellectual circles of Nepal.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          It has been performing the following activities in the capital, Kathmandu and in the main cities of Nepal :<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

1.   Wide publicity of Juche Idea and Songun Policy is being done by publishing various articles on them in the Monthly and Weekly  newspapers of Nepal in English and Nepali language as well.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

2.      We are regularly observing the following important National events and festivals of DPRK in Nepal through various activities such as talk programs, film show, book-exhibition etc to highlight the immortal activities of the Generals of Mt. Paektu and the achievements of the DPR of Korea on various fields :-<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

a.       We are celebrating the auspicious Happy Birthday of His Excellency Marshal  KIM JONG UN, First Secretary of the Worker’s Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army on January 8. The celebrations programme was followed by the talk program on the subject of development and progress in DPRK under the far-sighted leadership of Comrade KIM JONG UN.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

b.      We are also observing with grand programe the Birthday of Shining Star the Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL every year. Likewise, we are celebrating the Birthday ceremony of The Great Leader KIM JONG IL on 13th<\/sup> February 2014.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

c.       We are celebrating the Sun’s Day, Birthday of President KIM IL SUNG on the second week of April and Memorial Day on the first week of July every year.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

d.      We are expressing our solidarity to the  Korean people in their just struggle on the occasion of International Solidarity month with the struggle of the Korean people on June 25-July 27 every year.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

e.       We highly celebrate every year the National Day of DPR of Korea on September 9, the historic day, the Great Leader President KIM IL SUNG founded the DPR of Korea.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          In each and every program to celebrate the Birthday of President KIM IL SUNG, Great Leader KIM JONG IL, Comrade KIM JONG SUK and His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN from our Association, Ministers, Leaders of the political parties, Professors, Advocates, Media Persons, intellectuals etc attend. Likewise, H.E. The Ambassador of DPRK and other officials of Embassy of DPRK also attend in our programs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

3.      We have established the “Juche Idea Study Centre” at Kalimati, Kathmandu in our NJA own Building, where journalists and dignitaries from various Nepali walks of life gather on every Saturday between 9 to11 a.m. and discuss on the achievements of Juche Idea and Songun Policy. It is widely known as “Saturday Breakfast Meeting” among the journalists of Nepal. Recently we have discussed in detail on the New Year Address – 2014 of Marshal Kim Jong Un and have highly appreciated and fully supported by all. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

      Likewise, we also studied the Letter to the Participants in the National Conference of Sub work team Leaders<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>
\nin the Agricultural Sector<\/span><\/strong> addressed by Marshal KIM JONG IL on February 6, Juche 103 (2014) which was fully supported by all also.<\/span><\/strong><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

          That is why the Juche followers in Nepal are increasing day by day in Kathmandu. Specially youngsters are interested to know more and more about the different aspects of Juche Idea through our Saturday Breakfast Meeting who discuss on the achievements of Juche Idea & Songun Policy also.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

4.      We are regularly sending the Message of Congratulations, Greetings and Best wishes to His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, First Secretary of the Worker’s Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army on various festivals and National occasions of DPR of Korea including on his Happy Birthday too.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

5.      We have also managed to publish various articles on Juche Idea & Songun Policy in the Newspapers of the main cities of Nepal such as Pokhara, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Dang, Jhapa including in Kathmandu valley.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

6.      We are fulfilling our responsibilities in keeping and strengthening the cordial relationship between Nepal and DPRK through meetings and attachments with the high ranking officials of MOFA and other government officials in Nepal. Likewise we are maintaining excellent friendly relations with the different political parties of Nepal too including UCPN-Maoist, CPN Maoist, CPN-UML, CPN-ML, Nepali Congress and Nepal Workers & Peasants Party and Madhesi Peoples Rights Forum etc.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

7.      ‘Arpan’ Weekly since last 49 years is contineously publishing different articals on different aspects of DPRK specially the great achievements of President KIM IL SUNG, Great Leader KIM JONG IL, the Anti-Japanese Heroine Comrade KIM JONG SUK and Marshal KIM JONG UN in each and every Friday issue in both English and Nepali languages. Myself is the Chief Editor and Publisher of Arpan Weekly and have the wide circulation in Nepal and  in friendly countries of the world too.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

8.      On February 1, 2014,<\/span>  Nepal National Preparatory Committee to Celebrate the Festival of the Shining Star” is formed  under the Chairmanship of Mr. C. P. Mainali, General Secretary of CPN (M.L.), myself as the Committee’s General Secretary with prominent figures from political parties, friendship and people’s organizations dedicated to  promote the friendship between Nepal and DPR of Korea as its members.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

           Born on Mt. Paektu, the sacred Mountain of the Korean revolution His Excellency KIM JONG IL grew up in the flames of the anti-Japanese war and worked with the great leader President    KIM IL SUNG for many years as his greatest Comrade-in-arms and most faithful assistant in advancing the revolution and construction.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

9.      We have recently issued a <\/span>Joint Statement fully supporting the crucial proposal of the National Defense Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea which was released on January 28, 2014.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

           <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

           The Joint Statement says –“ We heartly wishes for the unity, peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and want to see a strong reunified Korea, are deeply impressed by the brilliant proposal of NDC of the DPR of Korea sent through an open letter to the authorities and to all concerned sectors of the Republic of Korea by  firm determination to put an end to the history of the territorial partition and national split in view of the hard reality to which the Korean nation can no longer remain a passive on-looker, the supreme leadership of the DPRK Marshal KIM JONG UN in the New Year Address clarified internally and externally realistic ways of opening a fresh phase of national reunification.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

            <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          We fully support this offer which reflects the desire and wishes of all Koreans for independent reunification, Peace and prosperity of the country by their great national unity and with their slogan “By Our National itself”.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

            <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          We sincerely urge to the South Korean authorities to put an end the hostile policy towards own Koreans in the North and to follow in deeds the historic North-South Joint Declaration of June 15, 2000; to improve inter-Korean ties through their bold decision to stop all hostile military acts with joint military exercises, the root cause of the confrontations; not to permit a single foreign soldier in the Korean peninsula and to open a new phase with the concerted efforts of entire Korean people themselves on the way to achieve independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and permanent peace in the Korean Peninsula.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

            <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          The Joint Statement has also urged the South Korean authorities to immediately respond positively to the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPR of Korea.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

10.    In this, way we are performing our International responsibilities in our capacity although we have many limitations, we are trying our best volunterily to disceminate the immortal Juche Idea and Songun Policy and result is Juche followers, the followers of self reliance are been increasing day by day in our country.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

11.    Apart from these, we are performing the main role to gather the Juche followers on various important National events and to go to the Embassy of DPRK in Kathmandu carrying flower baskets to pay our high respect to President KIM IL SUNG, Great Leader KIM JONG IL and <\/span>His Excellency Marshal  KIM JONG UN, First Secretary of the Worker’s Party of Korea, First Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

12. It is a great honour for me to inform to all that myself <\/span>has been awarded “Degree of Doctor” on the Thesis submitted by me on the subject of “The Great Juche Idea and the DPRK”. I was decorated the Certificate and medal of Degree of Doctor (Ph.D.) by His Excellency Mr. Ro Tu Chol, Deputy Prime Minister of Government of DPRK amidst a special ceremony which was held at Mansudae Supreme People’s Assembly Hall in Pyongyang on 16th<\/sup>  April 2012.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

          I am the first Nepali citizen who was decorated Degree of Doctor from Nepal on the recommendation of National Commission for Academic Degree and Titles of DPRK, Pyongyang. The Supervisor of my Thesis was Mr. Ko In Bae, Secretary General for Academic Affairs of the Korean Association of Social Science (KASS). The place of consultation was The Peoples Palace Culture in Pyongyang, DPRK.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

          I am very much happy to inform all that myself and my wife Subha Laxmi Sakya had the great opportunity for face to face talk and Direct interview with President KIM IL SUNG in Chongjin, DPRK on 19th<\/sup> June 1979 which we will never forget in our lifetime.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

13.    Condolence Message<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          On behalf of the Juche followers in Nepal, the President of Nepal Journalists Association Dr. Manju Ratna Sakya has issued a joint statement on untimely death of  The  Director General Asian Regional Institute of Juche Idea (ARIJI) New Delhi, India. The details of the joint statement is as follow :<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

          “We the following organizations of Nepal are socked upon hearing the news ofthe untimely sad demise of our respected Director General of ARIJI Hon. Dr. Vishwonath. We extend our heartfelt condolence to his family members and relatives.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

            We pray with almightily God for his eternal peace in heaven! May God give the strength to his family members and relatives and all the Juche followers to bear the heavy loss of the great personality of Asia who devoted all his life for the cause of self-reliance.  We will change this sorrow into strength to fulfill his lifetime desire and join our hands with the ARIJI members, Indian Comrades and friends on his sad demise to achieve our common goal. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
