 Kathmandu:<\/span> <\/span>Nepal – Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA) organized 6th free medical camps at Primary Health Centre of Panchkhal Municipality, Kavre on 8th April 2017 (26th Chaitra 2073) Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The eight Nepalese doctors who graduated from Pakistan offered their free services to the patients who comprise poor, needy, Dalits and disabled. They also got medicines free of cost thanks to the philanthropic deed of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association that has been regularly organizing the free medical camps in Kathmandu and outside it. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

They examined Child, Orthopedic, ENT, Skin, Gynecology and diabetic problems, among others. Altogether 313 patients benefited from the camp.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Senior Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Ramesh Malla  of SMS clinic, Hattisar, Kamalpokhari who graduated from King Edward Medical University of Lahore in 1985 had very sincerelly served to the patients in the camp with his young assistant Mr. Suresh Adhikari and  Charming lady Miss Rabina Maharjan. Dr. Malla had also kindly contributed six boxes of free medicine in the camp. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr. Prabin Bahadur Pradhan who graduated from King Edward Medical University of Lahore in 2001 and Senior Dr. Bharat Amatya MBBS, MD (Ortho) who also graduated from Pakistan served to the patients who came from Panauti, Banepa and Dhulikhel area.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, Senior Dr. Priyanka Gupta (ENT-Head & Neck Surgery), Senior Dr. Chandra Laxmi Shrestha (Gynecologist & Obstetrician), Senior Dr. Shasmin Manandhar (Gynecologist & Obstetrician), Senior Dr. Rima Shrestha (Dermatologist & Cosmetologist) and Senior Dr. Tej Ratna Tuladhar (General Physician) also offered free check up to all the concerning patients who were at the camp from 9 am.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

NPFCA also contributed free medicines to all the patients for at least one month. The patients who were registered in the camp can visit with the concerning Doctors in Kathmandu without paying any doctor’s fees for six months period.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the request of NPFCA, Chairman and CEO of VIJAYADEEP Laboratories Ltd Mr. Pradeep Man Vaidya had also kindly contributed free medicines of his factory product.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The free medical camp was inaugurated jointly by H.E Charge d’ affaires of Pakistan Mr. Javed Ahmed Umrani, President of Nepal – Pakistan Friendship & Cultural Association Mr. Himalaya S. Rana and Executive chief of Panchkhal Municupality Mrs. Bishnu Kumari Bhattarai amidst a special ceremony by lighting the tradional panas lamp.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

H.E. Charge d’ Affaires of Pakistan Mr. Javed Ahmed Umrani who is the special guest of the programme said- “The people of Nepal and Pakistan are friends. The relations between Pakistan and Nepal have been cordial since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1960.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Further, H.E. Mr. Umrani said that the medical camp would further deepen relations between the two nations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

“Pakistan is mulling over providing an ambulance to the health centre as the locals have been demanding this,” he said.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

NPFCA Chairman Mr. Himalaya S. Rana said that the doctors graduated from Pakistan deserved kudos for organizing the camp. “We are happy that a feeling of optimism runs high here with regard to dealing with locals issues.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

General Secretary of NPFCA Dr. Manju Ratna Sakya said that NPFCA had been conducting the health camps  targeting the poor, needy and disabled.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

“We are proud of extending the free medical services to the locals at a time when the people have found health service very expensive,” Dr. Sakya said, adding that NPFCA would continue the free medical services to the people in the years to come from the Nepalese doctors who graduated from Pakistan.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Executive Officer of Panchkhal Municipality Mrs. Bishnu Kumari Bhattari said, that PanchKhal was becoming an agriculture hub and the health camp had highlighted the cordial ties between Nepal and Pakistan.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

While appreciating for the organizing free medical camp from NPFCA, She underlined the need for minimizing the use of chemical fertilizers in the Municipality.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Social activist Mr. Hari Prasad Dulal said that the Gorkha earthquake had damaged important health and education infrastructures and the locals expected support from the Pakistan government to build them.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

General Secretary of Association of Visually-Impaired Nepal Mr. Bibek Paudel said that the local people had been indebted to the NPFCA and Pakistani government for providing free medical services to them. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Principle of Janahit Higher Secondary School of Kavre Mr. Kulchandra Khanal said that this type of health camp was a big relief to the local people.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Certificate of Appreciation was also distributed by H.E. Charge d’ Affaires Mr. Javed Ahmed Umrani, NPFCA supremo Mr. Himalaya S. Rana and  Executive officer Mrs. Bhattari.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Panchkhal Municilatity is just 45 km from capital city but the locals here complain that they are still deprived of basic health facilities when the Nepalese doctors graduated from Pakistan conducted free medical camp at Primary Health Centre, Panchkhal on Saturday, their joy knew no bounds.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
