The relations between Nepal and China are as old as history itself. Our relation always remained not only cordial and cooperative but also steady and stable. Over the past 64 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our two countries have always maintained equality, mutual trust, mutual respect and sincerity. Following the principle of non-interference in other countries, internal affairs, China has never interfered in the internal affairs of Nepal.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">Relying on each other like tooth and lip, Nepal and China are close neighbors linked by mountains and rivers with a shared border stretching over 1400km.The two people have always trusted and cared for each other. The two countries have always maintained a good momentum of sound and steady development in their relationship, no matter what changed have happened inside or outside the two countries. In particular, recent years have witnessed tremendous progress in our bilateral relationship. In this big friendly country Nepal Journalists Association (NJA) and All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) have the exchange visit of journalists delegation since 1980. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">Accordingly, the first Five members NJA delegation under my leadership visited China from 5<sup>th<\/sup> March to 19<sup>th<\/sup> March 1980. Likewise, under my leadership the NJA delegation visited China from 21<sup>st<\/sup> May to 5<sup>th<\/sup> June 1982,&nbsp; from 15<sup>th<\/sup> March to 29<sup>th<\/sup> March 1986, from 17<sup>th<\/sup> May to 31<sup>st<\/sup> May 1989, from 4th September to 13<sup>th<\/sup> September 1992, from 6<sup>th<\/sup> July to 15<sup>th<\/sup> July 1997 from 14<sup>th<\/sup> September to 23<sup>rd<\/sup> September 2003 and 16<sup>th<\/sup> December to 22<sup>nd<\/sup> December&nbsp; 2010.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;color:#222222\">Under this programme, at the official invitation of All China Journalists Association (ACJA) the six members Nepalese journalist delegation of Nepal Journalists Association (NJA) led by me visited China for nearly two weeks from 15<sup>th<\/sup> June 2016. In this delegation, Mrs. Subha Laxmi Shakya, Mr. Mohan Bir Thapa, Mr. Hari Gopal Pradhan, Mr. Chiran Ratna Shakya and Mrs. Vidhya Thapa were included. During this visit, we visited Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hongkong also During our stay at Beijing, the Executive Secretary and Member of Board of Leadership of ACJA Honorable Mr. Zhu Shouchen hosted a welcome dinner to us at its central office in Beijing. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">Likewise, at the invitation of NJA, five members Chinese journalists delegation led by Mr. Meng Fan, Director of Xinhua News Agency visited Nepal from 22<sup>nd<\/sup> March to 2<sup>nd<\/sup> April 1983.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">Mr. Kong Mai, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Journalists Association visited Nepal leading the Six Members journalists delegation from 26<sup>th<\/sup> March to 6<sup>th<\/sup> April 1987 at the invitation of NJA. The directors, elected by the institutional members, include heads of media organizations, noted public figures within the profession and outstanding editors, reporters and program hosts. The secretariat appointed by the standing committee of the Board of Directors handles daily affairs. There are four departments and one center in this Association. They are the Domestic Work Department, the International Liaison Department, the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Department, the General Office and the Journalism Training Center.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">ACJA carries out the nation-wide journalism awards. There is an award named by Fan Changjiang, a famous Chinese reporter. It is specially set for the reporters. Another award named by Zou Taofen is to give reward to the outstanding editors. All of the awards organized by ACJA are the most important awards in China, which presents the highest respect and regard to the journalists.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;&#10;mso-bidi-font-size:16.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;\">ACJA takes responsibility of safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of journalists. In Nepal, we never allow any activities that aim at disturbing Chinese Suzerainty over Tibet. The soil, water, air and even climate of Nepal will never be allowed to be used for anti-Chinese activities at any cost in our country. There are so many impressions which cannot be explained and expressed here.
